上海情報ステーションでもたびたび登場していただいております、ヨウメイさんによる茶話会に参加してきました。今回のメインは八宝茶。名前の通り八種類の薬味が入っているお茶です。中国では回族の喫茶習慣からひろまったそうです。
ナツメ、菊の花、はまなす、蓮の実、白きくらげ、龍眼、干しぶどう、クコの実の薬味と茶葉で構成されます。これら材料を組み合わせるほか、中国のスーバーなどでは小分けにした１回分のパックが売られているそうです。そういえば僕も上海で氷砂糖の入ったのを飲んだこともありました。
今回、参加者は自由に調合して自分のお茶を作りました。
蓋碗（がいわん）にお湯を注ぎ、しばし待ちます。成分が溶け出てきたでしょうか？見た目にも華やかです。
おやつにはこちらもいただきました。餅米を蒸かして甘くしてあります。おはぎの味。甘いものはあまり好きではない筆者ですが好みの味でした。油が使われていると思っていたら、中国のお菓子にはラードが使われていることがままあるとのお話。お茶と良く合いました。
帰りには自分で調合した八宝茶を１パックもらってお土産としました。
中国では２／８から春節ですね。
