お茶をめぐる旅：中国雲南省３～プーアル茶の旅前半

今回、わざわざシーサンパンナまで来た目的は、プーアル茶の産地を訪れること！

シーサンパンナには、景洪から西側のモンハイ県にある新六大茶山と、メコン河をはさんで反対側に位置する、古くプーアル茶の産地として栄えた古六大茶山、計12の主だった産地があります。

雲南省にはツテがないので、得意技の「タクシーの運ちゃんにお願いする」方式で、旧六大茶山のひとつである悠楽山のお茶工場に連れて行ってもらいました。

これは中国の他の産地でも共通することですが、お茶の産地では町のどんな人でも本当においしいお茶の味を知っていて、更にかなりの確率で親戚にお茶を生業としている人がいるため、「地元で聞く」と外れません。

景洪から車で40分ほど走ると、あたりは一面お茶畑です。
標高が高くなるにつれ、樹齢百年以上という大きな古樹ばかりになってきます。

工場では、できあがった散茶をプーアル茶独特の固形茶に成形する作業が行われていました。
昔、ここから茶葉がはるか遠くまで運ばれていた頃に、保存と運搬の効率化のために固形にされたのだとか。

突然訪れたにも関わらず、運よくその工程を見学させてもらうことができました。
茶葉を測り、それを布で包み（写真上左）、その後成形機械を使って高熱で圧縮します（写真上右）。

できあがった茶葉は布を外して、台の上で熱さましです。きれいな茶葉ですね～（写真上左）。
ちなみに、最近はやっている、木板でできた型もあります（写真上右）。

プーアル茶はワインのように年数を置いて楽しむものなので、自分の干支のものを買ったり、オーダーで名前を彫ったりということもできるのです。

この後、飲ませてもらったプーアル茶が美味しすぎて、即購入です。
400gの成形茶で400元（約5000円）と、いいお茶なのでいいお値段ですが、上海だと倍はするでしょう。

悠楽山は、今は基諾山とも言い、ジノ族が多く住んでいます。
パッケージもジノ族で、かわいい。今年の生茶なので、2年ほど置いてからいただきます。
